A restored turn-of-the-century ship, the South Street Seaport boardwalk and hordes of models provided the backdrop for a party to promote the latest issue of art and design magazine Smock. The magazine barely bothered with decor, aside from searchlights from Miller's Rental and Sales and two giant logoed banners by Duggal. Instead the company focused on entertainment: After a cocktail hour aboard the South Street Seaport Museum's Peking, Smock hosted a fashion show of art smocks created by 18 well-known fashion designers, and then delivered performances by Grammy-winning DJ Peter Rauhofer and the remnants of disco band Chic, featuring Nile Rodgers.
